Sara Compton, Director of Delivery - Eastern Region

Joining MATRIX in 2008, Sara has overseen IT functions such as infrastructure, SDLC, compliance, customer support, data centers and security.  Additionally, Sara has designed and implemented both IT and corporate PMO offices, long term IT strategic plans and has authored IT and corporate business continuity plans.   She has extensive knowledge in BI technical solutions.  Her client interface abilities stretch from technical and functional team members, mid-tier management up to Board Level representation. 

Sara has a Bachelors  Degree from  East Carolina University, holds a Leadership Certificate from AMA, and is a Certified Scrum Master. 

James Garvey, Director of Professional Services

MATRIX Principal Consultant James Garvey brings over 15 years of Big-4 Consulting and Sales experience to MATRIX.  His extensive solutions-based selling experience is primarily focused on custom application design/development and testing software solutions for a number of Fortune 500 companies.

James earned his Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University (LSU) and a Masters of Business Administration from Georgia Institute of Technology.

 

Tom Kapish, Executive Vice President of Professional Services

Executive Vice President Tom Kapish spearheaded the launch of MATRIX Professional Services in 2004 and has overall responsibility for client solutions delivery, MATRIX Telecom Services, and the internal MATRIX Information Technologies organization. His responsibilities include services practices development, technology advancement, and vendor partnership development.

Previously, Tom served as VP of Corporate Operations at MATRIX with the responsibility for setting strategic direction and tactical management of the operating divisions in support of the growth and expansion of the company's business lines.

At the Coca-Cola Company for eight years, he served as Group Operations Manager in Technical Operations, providing technology solutions world-wide in support of new product packaging initiatives.

Michael Martin, Director of Delivery - Western Region

Michael brings 24+ years of management and technology experience in both industry and professional service organizations to MATRIX.  In industry positions as the Senior Technology Executive reporting to either the CFO or CEO, Michael has helped organizations implement COTS applications, build custom applications, improve data center operations, optimize network performance, improve business and IT relationships, and improve help desk and desktop support operations.

As a Senior Executive with Accenture, Michael helped client organizations develop IT strategies, improve IT processes, manage major IT programs, lead large scale offshore custom development programs, and execute strategic divestiture and merger & acquisition initiatives.  Michael received his MBA in Information Systems Management & Finance from UT Austin, and holds PMP, ScrumMaster, SAP Solution Architecture, ITIL, Software Testing, Network and Server certifications.

Susan Thompson, Director of QA and Design

Susan Thompson manages the QA and testing efforts for clients as well as the MATRIX internal IT department. Her 17+ years of QA and testing experience has enabled her to contribute extensive industry knowledge in the areas of QA and testing, process development and test team development for high profile, Fortune 50 companies.

Susan is a certified Scrum Master and has led several successful Agile development and Agile testing efforts.

 

Mark Wells, Director of Delivery - Eastern Region

As the Director of Delivery for the Eastern Region, Mark provides management and delivery oversight to all projects for the east coast supported by a team of over 100 distributed Delivery Managers, Project Managers, Developers, and QA Analysts working on numerous projects in a variety of technologies, industries, and locations. Mark has been working for MATRIX for over four years and brings over 30 years of IT experience working in and supporting almost every aspect of IT.

Mark is a Certified Scrum Master. He is also well versed as a Business Analyst, Software Developer, and Instructor for TQM (Total Quality Management) and SAP R3.
